In my travels around the net, I like to check out other individuals blogs to see how average-everyday-ordinary people “do” blogging.
And sadly I come across SO many blogs that started really promisingly and then just fizzled out.
Blogs with 5 posts spread out over a year. In many cases, they wrote beautifully, their posts were engaging and humorous, they chose lovely images, quotes and inspiring stories to tell. They had their free bonus if you signed up to their email list and everything looked perfect (or in some cases, not) on their site.
Why did they give up?
Why do so many bloggers give up?
Is it because this business is actually really hard? Well yes, it is hard. But not as hard as you might think. It’s actually much easier than most people make it.
Look, I’ve been around blogging since 2011. And there have been times when I’ve become a victim of “this is all too hard”. I’ve had days, weeks and months where I suffered from complete overwhelm. I’ve been caught up in the whirlwind of “Shiny Object Syndrome” (later I will tell you a fantastic remedy – there is no cure – which can help you to use your Shiny Object Syndrome to your own advantage).
I have a dozen notebooks I’ve written over the years with plans and goals and training notes and products to purchase… and the list goes on.
STOP STOP STOP
I’ve been my own worst nightmare. Jumping from product to product, taking one piece of advice after another. What I needed was a mentor, a program of work to do and a dream and a goal and a plan and a path. That’s what many bloggers don’t have.
I think I’ve finally found that path and the program of work. I’ve got a fire in my belly and a goal set.
I don’t want to become one of those blogs that fizzle. I have my heart and soul invested in this blog, it really means something to me. I started this blog because one of those Shiny Objects told me to find something I’m really interested in, something that I think I can help others with, and blog. So I did. And I did it a bit. And I got distracted and I did it a bit more.
Did I make a ton of money from it?
No. Did I attract a ton of visitors?
No. Did I follow a plan?
No.
IS IT ANY WONDER MANY PEOPLE DON’T MAKE A SUCCESS OF BLOGGING?
If you don’t have a plan to follow, how can you possibly expect to succeed in this Internet Marketing world? And face it, most bloggers are here to make some money with their blogs, so in fact, we’re all internet marketers, aren’t we?
Now “A Year From Today” is all about making plans and setting goals “for your brighter future”. You might not be into goal setting or writing to-do lists. I know many people are happy to just go about their daily business without any particular goal in mind. I’ve fallen into that fundamental error myself.
If you don’t know where you’re going, how do you figure out which way to go right now?
So let’s bring this back to blogging (and fizzling). I don’t want you, dear blogger, dear reader, to “fail” like so many thousands of websites out there have failed.
I want to help you to find the success that you crave. I’ll help you to avoid Shiny Object Syndrome and give you a path to follow and a plan for success.
You see, I’ve found my mentor and the program that’s started to generate me my internet millions. Yes, I say millions. Because I can feel it in my belly. I know that sounds Naf to you…. but it’s going to happen because I have the plan, the goal, the program and the mentor.
I want to help you too. Don’t become one of those blogs that fizzles out. This blogging business can be difficult, but with the right support, and a FOCUS (stay with me on this), you can truly become one of the internet rich. We’re on this journey together.
And You?
You are here to keep me honest, inspired, authentic and enthused.
I am here to lead you to the program that’s started something in my life, given me the focus and the drive and determination to see it through and not let “A Year From Today” go into internet oblivion.
Are you fired up to get your blog generating an income for you?
