If you slip along the way do not be too hard on yourself. Treat mistakes as learning opportunities not as reasons to be critical with yourself. When a mistake is made the important part is to record what you learned and not make the same mistake again.

There are seven steps to success.

  1. The first is having direction,
  2. while the second is knowing where the destination lies.
  3. The third key is knowing when to take action.
  4. Fourth, react when a situation prompts you to.
  5. Fifth, accelerate when you are able to get closer to your goals.
  6. Sixth, complete what you start.
  7. Finally, you should reproduce the above steps to guarantee continued success.

This is your goal setting rinse and repeat formula.

Gee, this makes it sound so easy. I’m struggling to find the time to do all the things I need to do, in order to get my website up and running. These tips will really help me to find the focus and set my goals and make some plans to achieve those goals. I’ve bookmarked. I like your site – great theme. Cheers … Lindy

Good on you Lindy for making an effort to get your website up. If you don’t have an action plan for how you’re going to do it, you’ll get distracted. I recommend you put your goals in written form, where you can see them, like on a pinboard above your desk. Then your action plan (your daily to-do list) should also be on display. I find these things really help to stop me being distracted. Best wishes, Sandi.

I really like your seven steps to success. I want to act when a situation prompts me to do so. The trick is recognizing the opportunity. I have not listened to my own inner voice in the past and have lost out as a result. Hopefully, that is a lesson learned – I don’t want a re-do on it.

Hi Cindy. Sometimes we’re so busy “doing” we forget to take the time to focus and listen to our inner voice. It’s so important to make time in your day to meditate or look inwards – it helps to clarify your goals and opportunities. Thanks for dropping in.
